Eligibility
for the Performance Competition
-
Students age 6
through high school eligible to compete.
-
The competition
will be divided into FOUR age Groups:
Elementary,
intermediate, junior, and high school.
Three winners will
be chosen from each level.
-
Students in the
elementary and intermediate divisions will
perform two
contrasting pieces from the 20th or 21st centuries.
-
Students in the
junior and high school divisions will perform
one piece from the
20th or 21st centuries.

Winners Recital
Saturday, April 25, 2009, 7:00 pm in SVS Hall, Performing
Arts Center. Absolutely no prizes will be given to winners
who cannot perform at this recital (prizes will be given
at this time).
All applications will be processed in the order received.
The Competition board reserves the right to limit the number
of contestants to 20 applicants in each category.
All participants will receive an evaluation of their performance
by both judges. The evaluations will be sent to the teacher.
The decisions of judges are final.

Time Limit for Repertoire

Elementary
Division (1st 4th grade): 6 minutes

Intermediate
Division (5th and 6th grade): 10 minutes

Junior Division
(7th, 8th, and 9th grade): 12 minutes
-
High School
Division (10th, 11th, and 12th grade): 12 minutes
Details
